Text Box:           Spring Pubic Policy & Awards Breakfast
The coalition and Cape Assist will be hosting this year’s Public Policy and Awards Breakfast. The breakfast is an annual event highlighting community efforts in the field of substance abuse prevention.  We have invited our of our local legislators and freeholders to attend and  address pending
legislation and other concerns pertinent to substance abuse prevention in the county. This year’s Public Service Announcement’s topic is “Don’t Drink and Drive, I’ll Tell You Why”. Students throughout the county will read their winning  announcements and will be recognized for their accomplishment.
Students from the CMC Technical High School will show their thirty-second videos created on the topic of “Better Things to Do”.
It will be held at the Avalon Golf Club on April 15th.
Please call Kim or Peggy at

The panel of speakers made up of local law enforcement agreed that passing private property ordinances give them a  tool  specifically designed for handleing these situations.
Legislation has been introduced in the Senate that would establish a Private Property Drinking Law on the statewide level.
